Plastic Pollution

DIY – Make your own bioplastic!

It has long been known that plastic pollution is a major problem. We have been recycling for years, but the amount of plastic in the ocean is still increasing every year. One of the alternatives is the use of bioplastics. There are a lot of scientists who research the best bioplastic, but what exactly is bioplastic and is it the ideal solution for plastic pollution? In any case, you do not need to be a researcher to be able to make bioplastic. You too can make bioplastic with a few simple ingredients!

Ingredients:
5 ml vinegar
7,5 g cornstarch
~ 5 g glycerol (can be found online or at the pharmacy)
50 ml water
1-2 drops food coloring

Additional tools: pan, spoon (no wooden spoon, this will take up the color), measuring cup, and a mold
